What would happen if the world stopped?

I know that if the world stopped we'd be lighter, marginally, 2 Newtons lighter to be exact. Seeing as thats 0.2 kg don't make much of a difference. But say it did stop. What would happen? One side of the earth'd be baking all the time and the other'd be freezing all the time.But would time freeze? Be cool if it did eh.

Its a common misconception. We know it won't stop but we wish it could. So we question ourselves sometimes, so we say, "Hey! You know what? Maybe it does stop!". Its like if the world spun the other way round, right to left instead of left to right. Maybe it'd turn back time. Kinda like the old Superman movie, where Louis dies and Superman spins the world the other way round to turn back time and save Louis.

Truth is we humans are a greedy bunch. We want everything. We think we can get everything. Heck we think we're entitled to everything. Life, time, space, and everything that comes with it. And when we do get everything, we want more. Its like what Steinbeck once wrote, the more we want, the more we dream, the more we dream, the more we want. I guess thats that, its human nature, beating it would be pointless, changing it would be impossible.

Stopping time's just an elaborate part of it. Its an urge. Our urge to control everything. We don't have too, we just want too. For whatever reasons. For now its a hoax. A believeable one, if you're willing to believe, and who knows, maybe one day, in the not too distant future, but for know, its just a dream.
