I turned 18 today.

People wished me...naturally

Some forgot....naturally

Most didn't know....no worries

BUT

In the end..it turned out alright.

So to those who didn't know..now you know XD

To those forgot, no grudges mates...but you owe me one.

To those who bothered...my sincerest thanks and many great wishes in return.

And just for the sake of it...cause I know Beve wants to read this....yes...you were the first XD

Chaos in the Terminal

A storm in a teacup. Imagine that happening in KLIA. Lots of distraught students left stranded, not knowing what to do, lots of very angry parents, yelling and screaming, a few lost MAS staff members, and a very very long waiting line. KLIA in a nutshell. Or should I say, chaos..in a nutshell.

Apparently MAS decided to change their reservation systems. I suppose I understand the need for change, but what I can't understand is HOW the system screwed up so bad. I mean, we live in the age of information and technology, through trial and error shouldn't we have been able to MINIMIZE mistakes. Its fine if there's a long line leading into the check-in counter, but over-bookings? So much so that people have to be moved from flights? Even if you've booked your flight months ago, a CONFIRMED ticket. I think its absurd. World class airliner...sure...right...

Well, at least we were compensated. And my mum says that money goes into my birthday account. So basically I got 1,200 ringgit to spend. Its not so bad if you look at it that way, but beyond the compensation, I'm disappointed. Its sad to see Malaysia as it is now. No wonder everyone's going away. Its become a place for mamak and forgotten memories more than anything. Its like the banner on the Star Sports when we got trashed 5-0:

"World class facility,
Thrid rate management."

I'd like nothing more than to see our country flourish. But I just don't see it. I quote one of the parents I overheard in the airport,"Just when we were on the brink of real kemajuan this happens, like going back to 3rd world country again."

And we're left wondering who's to blame. Sad stuff it is, and stick around, its getting worst. The irony is too resounding. I guess only the future holds the truth....maybe.

p.s. I'm looking for a digital SLR camera, something not too high tech and expensive like Nikon, but good enough..suggestions?

Which came first? The music or the misery?

Boredom can kill they say.

In the last 5 days I've:

  1. eaten a total of 5 times.
  2. jumped from house to house like a homeless beggar.
  3. watched approximately 14 hours of TV..a day.
  4. dozed off 6 times in front of the TV.
  5. stoned.
What I should be doing is:
  1. finishing my homework BEFORE I go back..not after.
  2. buy all the stuff I was asked to buy.
  3. clean my apartment.
  4. pack!!
  5. PACK!!!
And surprisingly, my laziness has some what paid off. I'm losing weight now. Not exactly the way I envisioned loosing weight, but I am losing weight. Funny how things work out eh. Ironic how something so unhealthy can be so....healthy. Its like finding out that eating char kuew teow and murtabak is good for your health. Although I suspect my losing weight has something to do with me eating one meal a day.

On another note. I've realised that tennis chicks have seriously ripped biceps.

Jelena Jankovic.

Damn I wouldn't want to arm wrestle her. And another one.

Serena Williams

This woman EVERYTHING also big. From gia bok(kaboos..er...behind) to her fashion statement. But of course, I still respect them. Tennis ain't easy and playing in the big field even harder.

Neways, thats bout it really. I've squeezed out what seemingly little juice I have left in my brain in this excuse of a post. 2 days to go....
